Connect any MCP-compatible agent, including Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or a custom agent, through a local CLI or MCP server. Control what it can do with portfolio isolation and guardrails such as maximum trade sizes and daily limits. Use Coinbase for Agents when your agent needs a full financial identity for portfolio management, asset trading, currency conversion, and, soon, x402 payments. Each agent operates within an isolated portfolio backed by your existing Coinbase account. ## x402 payments x402 payments are coming to Coinbase for Agents — paid per request from your Coinbase USDC balance, no API key or subscription, over the same remote MCP connection it already uses to trade.
